How To Configure Firewall in Windows Server 2008 and Linux RedHat



Configure Firewall in Windows Server 2008


  • After network is up, you need to enable the firewall for outside IP can ping inside IP.
  • In One Cloud, you need go to Network.

  • Right click the Network your created before this and click  Configure Services


  • When the Configure Services windows come out, you need to clck the Add button to add the port you want to allow.


  • You need to fill up the Firewall you want to create. This example allow ICMP to the Network.
  • Click OK.



  • After that, you will see the firewall already created in configure services windows.


  • Go One Clud and see the Enternal IP.


  • Open the CMD terminal and ping the External IP for your Windows. If the ping is success, your Network run correctly.

 

Configure Firewall in Linux RedHat


  • After network is up, you need to enable the firewall for outside IP can ping inside IP.

  • Right click the Network your created before this and click  Configure Services.

  • After that, you will see the firewall already created in configure services windows.


  • Go One Cloud and see the External IP.

 

  • Open the CMD terminal and ping the External IP for your Windows. If the ping is success, your Network run correctly.
