CREATE VIRTUAL MACHINE (
LINUX RED HAT )
- In this windows console just in the button Add , to create new Virtual Machine.
- Click New Virtual Machine Button to add new VM.
- Fill up this New Virtual Machine form. You can choose the memory and the hard disk. Click OK.
- You can see the Virtual Machine information you choose already in the windows and click Next.
- For the network you can choose from already created network or you can create new your own network.
- In this windows , you can create new network from choose Add Network from the list.
- For this installation, just use the already Network on the list.
- For this windows, your need to tick show network details first and change your connection to the publicNet.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish after conform.
- You can see in OneCloud Windows the VM already create in your vApp.
- After the installations is success , you need to insert the CD the ISO or you can choose from the One Cloud Catalog.
- Right click in your new VM and choose Insert CD/DVD from Catalog.
- For this installations , just choose RHEL media from the Catalog.
- Click Insert.
- After finish the loading for insert the media, you need to power on first to run the windows.
- Right Click at the Vmware and choose power on.
- When the status on shows “Powered On”, right click on the virtual machine again and choose “Popout Console” – for first time user, you need to allow the connection from OneCloud portal to download the plugins and install it.
- After the plug in is installed, the new window will be opened and you will get the console for that machine and proceed with the installation of the OS as usual.
- After power on, you need to click the console to run the windows.
- When the installations windows appear just choose install and upgrade the existing system.
- Wait until the loading finish.
- After that, this windows will appear and just click OK using arrow in your keyboard and ENTER.
- Click Test using ENTER button.
- Wait until the media check finish the loading.

OK using ENTER button.
- Click OK using ENTER button.
- After that, this windows will appear and just click Continue using arrow in your keyboard and ENTER.
- When this windows appear, just click OK, but if this come for several time, you need go to One Cloud and Install again the Media.
- You need to insert again the media disk to second time.
- Wait until the insert media finish the loading.
- After install the media again, this windows will popup. That mean the media run successfully.
- When this installation , you need to full screen this windows to see all the button.if not, you just ENTER.
- Choose your language and Next.
- Choose your keyboard language and Next.
- You can choose what you want and Next.
- When this windows appears, you need to click YES, DISCARD ANY DATA button.
- Write your hostname and Next.
- Choose your country time and Next.
- Set your Root password. Need the Strong Password. Click Next.
- If your are not using the strong password, this warning will appears and you can click button USE ANYWAY
- Choose your Space for your OS and Next.
- Click button Write Changes to Disk.
- Wait until the loading finish.
- Choose the Desktop or wherever you want to your linux and Next.
- Wait again until the windows finish create.
- Click on the Reboot button, and wait until they restart again.
- Click on the Forward button.
- Read the License and choose agree button and click Forward.
- Click Forward.
- Fill Up the user form. Click Forward.
- Set the time and date and click Forward.
- After that click the Finish button.
- Click on the user name.
- Key the password you already set before this on the user form.
- Your windows already success created.
- When the installation is finished, right click again on the virtual machine that we are working on, and choose “Eject CD/DVD”
- The virtual machine is now complete and we need to proceed with vmware tool installation
- In One Cloud Windows, you need to right click to the Vmware and choose to Install VMware Tools.
- You can see the cd Vmware Tools appear in your windows Desktop.
- Open the Cd, and copy the VmwareTools folder and paste to the Desktop.
- Open the Vmware Tools box that you already copy and copy the VmwareTools Distrib and paste to the Desktop.
- Open the folder vmware-tools-distrib and click the vmware-install.pl
- Run the vmware-install application. OR
- If the installer cannot be run automatically when you run, you need to run manually using command in terminal.
- Su ( u need became root to run this terminal )- Cd Desktop/
- Ls
- Cd vmware-tools.distrib/
- Ls
- ./Vmware-install.pl
- ( for all the instruction you just enter until finish and shutdown and power off your terminal and windows)
- After the installation success, shut down the Windows Linux and close the Windows.
- In One Cloud , Power off the Linux Console.
- Right click the Console and click properties.
- Tick the box to enable guest customization and password Reset. Click OK.
- Right click again in the console, Power On and Force Customization.
NETWORK SETUP
- You can see that your network already run, but you still cannot access the internet.
- On the Network icon, Right click the Network.
- Click Edit Connections.
- On the System et0, click edit. You can see the windows like this will appear.
- Choose IPv4 Settings.
- You can see the DNS is blank, and you need to ask your technician to give you’re the DNS because all DNS not same in the company.
- Click Apply.
- Key in your password and click Authenticate.
- Open again your browser and you can see the internet already run.
ON FIREWALL
- After network is up, you need to enable the firewall for outside IP can ping inside IP.
- In One Cloud, you need go to Network.
- Right click the Network your created before this and click Configure Services
- When the Configure Services windows come out, you need to clck the Add button to add the port you want to allow.
- You need to fill up the Firewall you want to create. This example allow ICMP to the Network.
- Click OK.
- After that, you will see the firewall already created in configure services windows.
- Go One Cloud and see the External IP.
- Open the CMD terminal and ping the External IP for your Windows. If the ping is success, your Network run correctly.
